Introduction & Purpose

GoldLeaf is a web-based hose assembly configuration tool designed for hose assembly fabricators and users to track and manage their data, generate drawings, work orders and quotes. GoldLeaf Professional users can also take advantage of our configurator in their existing e-commerce website by implementing our API’s and following these instructions.

The goal of the e-commerce configurator is to allow your customers to be able to configure a hose assembly and save it to your account. These instructions will step through setting up and configuring an API token, embedding an iframe in your e-commerce store and handling the data exchange.

Requirements

In order to setup an online configurator using GoldLeaf you must have an active GoldLeaf Professional or Enterprise subscription. You will need development access to your website to configure the data exchange. You will also need an understanding of the following:

• API keys
• Security tokens
• Iframe components & passing data

Overview

The steps to setting up a public-facing e-commerce GoldLeaf configurator are:

1. Creating an admin API key (optional)

   • To be used to fetch customer id

2. Creating a customer API key

   • For all other purposes

3. Embedding an iframe component into your site

   • Setting up your site for the iframe
   • Configuring your site to fetch a security token to pass to the embedded iframe configurator
